Is Jackpot City legal in Ontario?
Yes — and unusually for this question, you can check it yourself in about two minutes. Here is the registration, where to verify it, and the one detail in the regulator's own record that does not add up.

Short answer: yes. Jackpot City operates in Ontario's regulated igaming market under a registration held by Cadtree Limited, and it appears in iGaming Ontario's public directory of registered operators and gaming sites. We read both the AGCO registry and the iGO directory directly rather than taking the operator's word for it.
The registration
The registration number is OPIG1236392, type Operator — Internet Gaming, status Active, with a stated expiry of 22 June 2027. It is held by Cadtree Limited, which the operator's own site footer describes as an Alderney-registered company.
You do not have to take that from us. AGCO publishes a searchable public registry, and iGaming Ontario publishes a directory of every registered operator and gaming site in the province. If a casino is not in that directory, it is not operating legally in Ontario, whatever its website says.
Who actually regulates it
Two bodies, and the distinction matters. The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) is the regulator: it registers operators and enforces the Registrar's Standards. iGaming Ontario (iGO) is the conduct-and-manage entity that operators contract with to offer games in the province.
Worth knowing: the operator's own site footer describes its licence as issued by the "Ontario Gaming Commission". No such body exists. It is a naming error rather than a legitimacy problem — the AGCO registration is real and we verified it — but if you are checking a casino's credentials and the footer names a regulator you cannot find, that is normally a reason to stop. Here it is worth knowing it is simply wrong.
The discrepancy in AGCO's own record
The formal Gaming Site field on the registration reads on.jackpotcity.ca. That hostname does not resolve — we queried it at two independent public DNS resolvers and both returned NXDOMAIN. The working Ontario address, given in the same record's related-domain field and in iGO's directory, is www.jackpotcity.ca/ontario.
The contradiction sits inside the regulator's record rather than in anything the operator published. We mention it only so nobody wastes time on a dead hostname, and because a registration record you cannot reconcile is worth noticing.
One registration does not cover a company
Cadtree holds registrations per brand, not per company. A second registration, OPIG1237900, covers a different brand and is listed as Closed. If you are checking any operator's credentials, match the registration to the brand and the domain you are actually about to use, not to the parent company's name.
An issue date. Four different values appear across AGCO's search grid, AGCO's own record detail page, the operator's site footer and a registration document supplied by the operator. We are not going to pick one and present it as fact.
